North Scottsbluff

Leash your pup and get ready for furrific fun in the North Scottsbluff neighborhood! This area’s Terry Carpenter Park and Recreation Area is a pawsome place for a walk with Fido. There is a woofderful paved trail that meanders around a large lawn, past Scottsbluff’s Babe Ruth Baseball Field, and across the street to the neighboring Frank Park! There are lots of trees at Frank Park where your pooch is likely to sniff out a squirrel as you stroll on the paved pathway. Frank Park also has a playground for kiddos and a picnic pavilion. Just a few blocks west, you and Fido will have a pawesome time romping in the huge open grassy area at Northwood Park!

Railway/ 17th

If you and your furry friend are craving some wide open spaces, head to the Railway/ 17th neighborhood! There, you and your leashed dog can romp and roam in Jaycee Park, which is primarily made up of grass, grass and more grass! Westmoor Park is another neighborhood green space just a couple blocks doggiecorner, where there is also plenty of grass, plus trees, a playground and tennis courts. McCaffree Park is a nearby smaller but still tidy park in a quiet, older residential area. It’s a furrific spot for a picnic at a table beneath one of the shady trees, or playtime on the lawn. There’s also a basketball half-court and a playground.

Southeast Scottsbluff

Explore one of the town’s bigger parks in the Southeast Scottsbluff neighborhood! This area’s Veterans Park has a massive open space lush with grass where you and your leashed furry friend can take a walk or play. The park’s perimeter is lined with trees, giving it a secluded feel, and providing Fido with plenty of things to sniff as you explore the area. Veterans Park also has tennis and basketball courts, plus a playground for two-legged children. Nearby, Overland Park and Neighbor Park are two other furrific neighborhood parks with space for you and your pup to relax while kiddos let off some steam on the playgrounds.

The Avenues

Check out another furrific park in The Avenues neighborhood in Scottsbluff! Central Park is a beautiful community park with a paved walking path that winds in and around the park’s grassy areas. The park houses sculptures, a gazebo and gorgeous mature trees that make it a pawpular place for dog walking! It’s a woofderful park where you and your leashed pup can get some exercise or just relax and take in the sights and sounds of this quiet area. After your jaunt, take Fido to the nearby Cappuccino and Company! Indulge in a tasty treat like a coffee or smoothie, gelato, baked goods, burrito or sandwich and enjoy it with your dog by your side at the outdoor seating area.

East Scottsbluff

The East Scottsbluff neighborhood is a pawsome place to visit with your leashed dog! The neighborhood is home to Lacy Park, where there is a large open green space with lots of trees and verdant grass. Also at the park, you’ll find covered picnic tables, a playground and restrooms. Lacy Park is also a fun place to visit, especially if you love watching sports! This woofderful facility frequently plays host to softball and flag football games, and even has a concession stand! Bring a lawn chair, grab a spot in the shade and enjoy the game with your furry friend by your side.
