North Fort Morgan

Situated north of the center of town, Riverside Park is a woofderful destination for pups and families. The walking trail is perfect if you want to get some exercise and enjoy the amazing views. There is also a duck pond where you can stroll with Fido on his leash and let him have a snifftastic time in the plants and grass. A large playground will keep the kids entertained while you relax with Fido on one of the shaded benches. Other features of the park include disc golf and a swimming pool and you can fill up water bottles at the drinking fountain and dispose of doggie waste bags at the trash cans near the picnic shelter.

Cheyenne St/ Comanche Ave

Best known for its amazing skate park, the Brenda Joy City Park is also a great place to take Fido for some exercise. While the kids are playing on the skate park, you can walk laps around the area or throw a ball for your pooch in one of the open areas. The main park also features an ADA accessible pavilion where you can relax with a snack and some water for Fido, or watch a soccer game on the field. Families will enjoy chatting or planning a picnic with friends and family and their furry companions.

Fulton Heights

Just one of two dog parks in Fort Morgan, the Fulton Heights Dog Park is packed with fun for pups and their owners. This off-leash park is located in the west end of Beaver Avenue, and features a large grassy area where pups can play and socialize. There is a gated entry creating a safe entry and exit to the park. You will even find doggie waste bags and trash receptacles in the park, but you will need to bring your own water bottles. Pups need to be licensed and have current vaccinations to enter. Your pup will have a pawtastic time running around and releasing excess energy while you relax on a bench and chat with friends.

Gateway

The Gateway Park Dog Park is located on Gateway Avenue and offers a huge area for pups to play. The fenced area is separated into two spaces, one for large dogs and one for small pups. The gated entry makes it easy to enter and exit the park, just be sure that your pup stays on a leash while in the parking lot and until he is in the off-leash area. Pups can chase after a frisbee or ball, or just run and roll around in the grass. Pup parents can relax on a bench while their furry family members socialize with other dogs. There are doggie waste bags provided, so make sure to clean up!

Optimist Park

Located on Vickie Street near the Riverview Apartments, Optimist Park is a popular destination for pup-parents to walk Fido. The paved walking paths are perfect to stroll through the park and give your pooch some exercise. The kids will enjoy the interesting play structures, and there is a basketball court, disc golf, tennis, and pickleball courts to keep the entire family active. The grassy field is great if your pup wants to chase a ball, or you can relax on one of the benches or in the shaded picnic area. If you need a pooch-friendly place to spend the night, the Best Western Plus Overland Inn allows two pets for an additional fee.
