Trupp Park features horseshoe and sports courts where you and Fido can catch a game, and plenty of sports fields to take Fido for a romp on an extended leash. Or meander along the paved walking paths, perfect for a light stroll for any pup-ability. There are bike paths and a skateboard park, all located here for your pleasure. Or visit Centennial Park’s playground, paved walking paths, and shade pavilions perfect for a picnic.

In the Sterling Hills neighborhood of Aurora, just 16 miles west of Watkins, you and your pup are in for a great treat! The Great Plains Park offers 54 acres of pup-tastic fun for all. There is plenty of open space to roam with Fido on an extended leash, a splash pad, and two playgrounds for the kiddies. Pack some water and hop on the Plains Trail which meanders past the Plains Conservation Center. This soft surface 1.8-mile trail is perfect for all pups. The Conservatory West Trail is also accessed here and runs for 1.9 miles.

Check out the Side Creek Park, in the Side Creek neighborhood of Aurora, 16 miles west of Watkins. This is a hiker’s dream and is the perfect place to take your fur-ever friend for a stroll. There are paved walking paths throughout its 12.8 acres and plenty of open green space where Fifi can roll, romp and run on an extended leash. If you are a sports enthusiast, head to the basketball courts to catch a game. There is a cool playground for the kids and two tennis courts. Restrooms are on site but don’t forget mutt mitts!

There are basketball and sand volleyball courts where you can participate in a game with friends, and a huge playground for the kiddies. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy under the shady pavilions. Restrooms and fountains are provided.

Restrooms are on site as well as drinking fountains. Don’t forget to clean up after Fido to keep this park pristine.
