Introduction

A.I. Artificial Intelligence, or also known simply as A.I., is a 2001 science fiction film written, produced and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film’s screenplay is loosely based on Brian Aldiss’ 1969 short story entitled Supertoys Last All Summer Long. Starring Haley Joel Osment, Frances O’Connor, Jude Law, William Hurt and Brendan Gleeson, A.I. tells the story of a robot boy named David (played by Osment), who is the first of his kind that was programmed with a capacity to feel love. Director Stanley Kubrick originally acquired the rights to the story during the 70s but the production of the film was in development hell for years. In 1995, Kubrick decided to hand the project to Spielberg but it did not commence until 1999, when Kubrick passed away. The film succeeded both commercially and critically and gained several awards, including Best Original Score and Best Visual Effects at the 74th Academy Awards.

A.I. Artificial Intelligence Inspired Dog Name Considerations

Naming your dog is one of the simplest but most important tasks that you will have to take on as a dog owner. Unlike human names, which are usually chosen for aesthetic, sentimental value or meaning, dog names serve a purpose. Apart from giving your pooch an identity, the right name can help boost their responsiveness, improve the communication between the two of you and makes for more effective training.

This is why it is so crucial really think about your choice and to make sure that you pick the right name. After all, the name that you pick will be the one your dog will use for the entirety of their life and will play a role in how well your dog reacts to you. One essential factor to consider is the sound of the name. Generally speaking, dogs find it easier to hear long vowels and hard consonants. Hence, names such as “Bucky” are more distinguishable for them.

Also, a good tip for choosing a dog name is to avoid those that rhyme with typical dog commands. An example of such a name is “Kit”, which sounds too similar to the command “sit”. Doing so may stir some confusion for your dog and can become problematic during training.
