Canis Panther Dog Names

There are only three places to purchase a true Canis Panther Dog and one of those places is Rock of Ages Kennel in Momence, Illinois. Aside from breeding the Canis Panther Dog, Rock of Ages Kennel is a full dog training facility. Rock of Ages Kennel was started by three top dog trainers, Scorpio Jones, Michael Gypsy Stratten, and Lori Lopez. They wanted to create the ultimate guard dog that possessed a natural protectiveness and loyalty to its family. The concept of the Canis Panther Dog began in the 1970s when there were not many known protection breeds and these trainers saw a market. Stratten is a Master dog trainer for the past 40 plus years and Lori is a certified dog trainer for the past 15 plus years. Rock of Ages Kennel has produced several Canis Panther Dogs including Hennessy, a blue male. They have exported breeding pairs to different countries and have begun working with Madonna Kennels to expand the gene pool of Canis Panther Dogs. Scorpio Jones also selectively breeds the Canis Panther Dog and still works within the dog training world.

The Canis Panther Dog is a very agile breed that is also extremely intelligent. They are naturally suspicious of strangers and are constantly on guard. In 1973, Stratten became tired of trying to import solid protection dogs into the United States and after spending times with Scorpio Jones, began formulating an idea of how to breed their own unique protection dog. Breeders within the United States that had dogs with solid protection backgrounds refused to sell to Stratten and Jones because they were located in Chicago and were well-known as personal protection trainers. The only thing left for them to do was to develop their own breed. After decades of cultivating bloodlines and test breeding, the pedigree is finally set and they have even developed their own breed standard. Today’s true Canis Panther Dog should not be considered a mixed breed because there have been several generations of careful breeding of Canis Panther Dog to Canis Panther Dog. However, no major kennel club has yet to recognize the breed.
