Coton de Tulear Dog Names

The Coton de Tulear was originally a royal little dog from Madagascar. However, in recent years, they have become more popular in France. There are only a handful of breeders in North America that specialize in these white fluff balls. Even with recognition by the American Kennel Club, the number of Cotons, as they are affectionately called by their owners, is alarmingly low. However, there is a fun-loving French import male named Bentley that has been stirring up the dog show world. Bentley’s formal name is Innuendo du Castle de la Roche Aux Fees; quite a mouthful for a small dog! Bentley was born on June 8, 2013 at Castel de la Roche Aux Fees. His sire is Goblin-Armani du Castel de la Roche Aux Fees and his dam is Grace-Kelly du Castel de la Roche Aux Fees. During Bentley’s illustrious dog show career he has earned championships through the American Kennel Club (AKC) and United Kennel Club (UKC). In 2014, Bentley became the number two Coton de Tulear in the UKC and went on to compete at the UKC’s Premier. When Bentley is not in the conformation ring, he can be found displaying his athleticism in the agility ring.

Bentley is just one Coton de Tulear that is making a name for himself here in the United States, and the place he calls home, Shiloh Cotons, has produced a number of heart-stopping Cotons. Kellie and Dave of Shiloh Cotons call the Coton de Tulear the “Royal Dog of Madagascar” and are diligent about educating the public about this little white dog. Shiloh Cotons have produced several AKC and UKC champions. Located 20 miles west of Fort Worth, Texas, Shiloh Cotons has imported a number of Cotons into the United States to incorporate into their breeding program. They also ensure their dogs are healthy by performing genetic testing on all the dogs they are planning to breed.

Bentley’s daughter, Juliana followed in her dad’s paw prints. She is formally known as Juliana of Shiloh Cotons, but also answers to the nickname Juju. She is the daughter of Bentley and another French import named Elisa du Castel de la Roche Aux Fees. Juliana has made waves in the show ring by earning her International Junior Supreme Grand Championship at the International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA). She has also earned several best of breed bred-by exhibitor wins at IABCA shows and International Canine Kennel Club (ICKC) shows. Juliana has since retired from the show ring.
