Introduction
There is nothing like sitting down to enjoy a good old Disney classic. Ever since Walt Disney began his journey all those years ago, it has been a thrill to watch a new Disney movie. Their heroes are larger than life but still relatable. We enjoy escaping into their worlds. There are all sorts of heroes in the Disney-verse, with different personalities and values. They all have a few things in common though, they are unwaveringly good and would do anything for the ones that they love. Where else would you find the perfect name for your new little puppy?
Disney Hero Dog Names In Pop Culture
There were many worthy dogs that were considered for this category and deserve a mention. Goofy, for example is an excellent dog. He may have a “goofy” personality, but he is a trust-worthy friend and a capable single father. He was created by Walt Disney himself and often joins Mickey in various strange adventures. In the end, Tramp was chosen as the featured dog. While Goofy is a hero in a more nontraditional sense, Tramp ticks all the right boxes. In the beginning of the film, The Lady and the Tramp, we are introduced to characters with vastly different upbringings. While Lady is treated with dignity and love, Tramp must endure the harsh indignities of living on the street.
Not only that, but he takes two other dogs under his wing and fights hard to protect them from falling into the hands of the villainous dog catcher. He does not think twice about putting his own life in danger for his friends. He befriends all sorts of different animals and does not feel sorry for himself due to his current situation. Sure, he comes across as cynical and hard-hearted at times, but underneath it all he has a heart of pure gold. He helps Lady during the worst time in her life and jumps into action when he learns of their capture. His actions may have caused Lady’s capture, but he does not hide from that fact. He takes responsibility and accepts the consequences. He goes back to Lady to apologize, even though she wanted nothing to do with him. This shows that he had integrity and heart.
After Lady sent Tramp away, all our hearts bled for him. Many people wanted to reach into the screen and give Tramp the love that he obviously deserved. Instead of resenting Lady, he immediately returns when he hears her frantic barking. He braves the wrath of aunt Sarah to sneak into the house and rescue the baby from the sneaky rat. All throughout the movie, he proves that he cares more about others than himself. He also undergoes incredible character development. In the beginning of the film, we see a diamond in the rough. By the end of the movie, Tramp is shining brightly and is fit to live with Lady in the big house. Tramp is a true Disney hero. He proves this through his actions and his willingness to improve.
