Introduction

Robinson Crusoe is a 1997 adventure drama film about survival. The movie is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by author Daniel Defoe. The titular role is played by actor Pierce Brosnan; other cast members include Damian Lewis, Polly Walker, Ian Hart, William Takaku and Martin Grace. Directed by George Miller and Rod Hardy, the film tells the story of Englishman Robinson Crusoe, who flees on a ship after he unintentionally kills his friend (played by Lewis) to win over the love of Mary (played by Walker). Following a strong storm, Crusoe’s ship is wrecked and he ends up being stranded on an island. Here, he meets a tribesman and they help each other survive as castaways.

Robinson Crusoe Inspired Dog Name Considerations

When you become a furparent, it becomes your job as a responsible dog owner to choose a perfect name for your beloved pooch. Before you decide on a name, however, you need to consider whether or not this their first name or if they have a previous name that you intend to change. If it’s your dog’s first name, you need to choose a moniker that they can easily get used to. If you will be renaming your dog, you still have to choose an easy name and then help them transition through consistent dog training.

Ideally, dog names should be short and easy to remember. Specifically speaking, the best dog names are those that contain a maximum of two syllables. This factor is especially important if you need to train your dog; canines typically find it easier to recall short words. Names that produce hard sounds are also best for dogs because they are easier to distinguish. These include names composed of hard consonants and vowels like b, d, k and t.

It is also advisable to avoid repetitive names or those that sound close to the names of the members of your household. For instance, if you have a family member or another pet named “Joe”, it is best to avoid rhyming names such as “Bo” to prevent confusion.
