Sydney Dog Names

Search Dogs Sydney Inc. is the name of a dedicated team of specially trained volunteers who train their dogs to find missing people. The dogs and their humans are available to go anywhere in the State of New South Wales to provide aid during natural or man-made disasters, or to help find someone missing in the bush. The dogs are highly trained and love their work. Adele is the co-founder of Search Dogs Sydney Inc.  Her dog, K9 Boof, was a mixed breed pound dog whom no one wanted because of his destructiveness and high drive for a ball, the very traits that have been channeled to find missing people. Boof is hard to trick, where ever you hide, he will find you. His potential to find people is enormous, and comes into play even in disasters where he can seek out trapped people within different areas. This once misplaced and unwanted dog now has an important job and a home, and Adele channels his enormous energy through training into something that has made Boof a valuable asset to the community. Adele has a second dog named K9 Chilli. This beautiful purebred Belgium Malinois is still in training but has proven to be a quick learner with a willingness to please and she has a happy personality that makes training a pleasure. She is a trailing canine, in other words - she provides the team with directions on which way a person of interest has travelled. 

K9 Rufus is a beautiful dog who specializes in HRD (Human Remains Dog). This canine is specifically trained to locate the scent emanating from a deceased person. Rufus and his owner Chris (a founding member and President of the team ) work hard as a team, following the trail of a scent until they find the source. When Rufus is on a trail, he never gives up! His dedication and sense of duty are truly impressive. 

K9 Jazz is another rescue dog who has found a purpose in life. Amanda rescued Jazz after joining the Search Dogs Sydney Inc. as a technician, where she got the bug and wanted to be part of the active team. After acquiring Jazz (a Kelpie crossbreed), she started the search and rescue training when Jazz was ten months old. Jazz has a mischievous streak, according to her owner. But she loves searching and finding people. Jazz specializes in live find, through air scent and tracking. 

The teams and technicians train at the Brandown, a custom Canine Search and Rescue Training facility in Western Sydney. All the dogs live with their owners and are living their dream life, to be loved and to be valued which is all a dog really wants. And what do they give in return? They give their heart and soul, they give everything and provide a valuable service that only a dog can provide. They seek and they find.
