Jack's story is not fully revealed online, but the guesses as to his "crimes" were hilarious. As of this writing, however, Jack has not been adopted.

Over the course of the Will and Grace television series, the pair lived together as roommates. As many roommates tend to do, they agreed and disagreed on many issues. One of these issues was the purchase of a dog to live with them. For many years, Will refused to consider owning a dog, stating that he did not like dogs. However, as a part of the plot of this 1998 episode "The Truth about Will and Dogs," Grace refuses to listen to Will and brings home a puppy. It is revealed that Will really does love dogs, but previous experience kept him from bringing a dog home himself.

The exact breed of the puppy in this episode is unknown. However, this story could have been told with pretty much any breed of dog, from a small dog to a larger breed that does not require a lot of exercise and prefers to be indoors. Larger dogs such as the Golden Retriever adapt well to living in an apartment in the Big Apple provided that their owners take them out for a brisk walk daily.
