Furthermore, because this park is well equipped to deal with all types of dogs, feel free to leave the leash at home! Let your dog run to his heart’s content!

North Carlsbad

Situated right next to the largest water source in Carlsbad is the famous Maxton Brown Park. This park is a large grass land that has a winding paved trail. Although it is not simply a dog park, it welcomes all animals including dogs. The park has many benches and chairs for pet owners. You will see many dog owners along the trail resting on benches. Make a day of it by taking some snacks, books and dog toys to the park with you! You are guaranteed to have a pawsome time at Maxton Brown Park! Just don’t forget the leash and baggies to clean up after your canine companion!

South Carlsbad

At one time or another, who hasn’t wanted to put on roller blades and walk their dog? This beloved California 1970’s tradition has been kept alive in South Carlsbad through Poinsettia Park. This park has everything you could ever dream of. It is home to picnic areas, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds and clean bathrooms. It has a designated area for dogs as well as a paved winding trail within the park. Take your rollerblades, running shoes or skateboard, and your dog will have the time of his life trying to keep up with you on the trail!

Oceanside

Everyone knows California is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The sandy beaches and warm weather are only a few things that make it a coveted location. You’ll find all those things and more in Oceanside, just a 10-minute drive from Carlsbad. Oceanside is also home to the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA Dog Park. Unlike other dog parks, this is divided not by dog size but by activity level. This way your larger and smaller dogs can play in the same area if they are comfortable enough.
