Tampa has a burgeoning outdoor scene, including plenty of places for you and your pup. If your pup loves the water, there are more than a few open spaces and beaches for you two, and maybe the whole family, to enjoy the day.

Whether it's Logan Gate Dog Park, which is located in the Citrus Park area, Logan Gate Dog Park features over 5 acres, double-gated entries, a -foot chain link fence and two separate places for dogs of either size. Davis Islands Dog Park features an off-leash area as well as a completely fenced-in beach across a 200ft waterfront area. Your dog won't go thirsty with an always available water spigot for drinking and rinsing. The Picnic Island Beach Dog Park, Tampa has absolutely incredible views of the city. Spread across almost 8 acres of sandy beach, this park makes a great weekend spot for canoeing, setting up a day on the beach or fishing from the pier. There is something for the whole family.

If you're seeking something a bit more secretive, check out Lettuce Lake Park. Lettuce Lake features a large boardwalk that makes its way through the Florida swamp scene. You'll encounter birds, alligators, spiders, and other critters across the swampland.

In case you're spending the night, check out the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, it's a clean and friendly hotel that is pet accommodating. If the Grand Hyatt is booked up, check out the Holiday Inn Express near I-75 or the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, both of which allow pets and have great ratings.
