The Maplewood Park doesn't offer a ton of amenities for people, but your dog will love visiting the park. Filled with grass that Fido can roll on and play fetch, this park is perfect to take your furry pal out to during the day. There aren't many trees to help provide shade, so make sure to bring plenty of water with you to keep your pup hydrated. The park also has a good walking path around it where the two of you can get a lovely casual stroll, or an invigorating jog. Don't forget your clean-up bags when you visit.

Grand Ave Firestone

Head down the road and into Firestone which is home to two great parks that Fido can visit with you. Hart Park offers a playground and three sports areas for your enjoyment. Your dog will love exploring the walking trail that goes throughout and around this park with you. The Jacob H. Firestone Memorial Park offers plenty of trees for shade, plus benches, a pavilion, and tons of grass for Fido to run around on. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you when you hang out at these parks. Only two miles out of Frederick, your pup will love visiting these parks with you.

Rural Firestone

The Asik's Meadow Dog Park is a pawsome park to take Fido to so he can run around off leash and meet some new friends. The park is filled with grass for fetch, as well as benches and a covered pavilions that dog parents can sit under. If you forget your clean-up bags, the park provides a waste area station for you, but do remember to bring water for you pup. The park has separate sections for large and small dogs, so Fido can play with friends his own size. Only five miles out of Frederick in Firestone, your pup won't mind the small car ride to check out this great dog park.

Old Town Erie

If you and Fido are looking for a few options to dine at, check out Gaucho de Argentina. They offer delicious Argentinian food, including a ton of different empanadas. Echo Brewpub and Pizzeria is a cool Italian restaurant that uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients. They dish out some tasty pizza, as well as appetizers and salads. Both of these great eateries offer a dog friendly patio, so Fido can join you and get a bowl of water for himself. Only ten miles out of Frederick in Erie, your dog is going to love heading out for a tasty meal.

Powars

Head out to Fort Lupton with your pup and check out Wholly Stromboli, an East Coast style eatery that hand makes all of their food. After a delicious meal, get some exercise at Pearson Park. Here, you'll find a baseball and softball field, benches, bike trail, open space for romping, a playground, restrooms, and a great walking path where you can both get in a good walk. Best of all, the park offers a large off leash section for pups to run around in, so make sure to take advantage of it!  Only eight miles out of Frederick, your pup will love visiting Fort Lupton with you.
