Just a couple blocks away, you and your furry friend can take a longer walk on the half-mile Belle Creek Trail that wanders through this residential area. Take a detour a few blocks off the trail and walk past the neighborhood’s Belle Creek Community Garden, where you can see what kind of plants are growing in warmer months!

Riverdale Estates

Want to get back to nature without a long drive? Head to Brighton’s Riverdale Estates neighborhood, less than a mile from Henderson! This area is home to the big, beautiful Riverdale Regional Park on Manny-Nyholt Lake. This park is a pawpular spot for walking with leashed dogs, as there’s a walking trail that winds around the lakeshore, providing peaceful water views with plenty of mature trees along the way, too. There’s fishing access at the lake, plus you might even see some wildlife meandering through the park! Be sure to bring drinking water for you and Fido, plus cleanup baggies.

River Run Relationships

Leash up your pup and lace up your sneakers for a visit to a pawsome park in Commerce City’s River Run Relationships neighborhood! About two miles from Henderson, this area’s River Run Park has 15 acres of open space where you and Fido will have a blast exploring together. For some exercise, take a stroll on the park’s winding paved path! There is tons of grassy playspace and trees along the way to keep your pooch interested. This furrific park also has a playground for kiddos, a picnic pavilion, sand volleyball courts, drinking fountains and restrooms. Villages at Buffalo Run

If you and your four-legged friend are in search of a woofderful park, look no further than Commerce City’s Villages at Buffalo Run neighborhood, about three miles from Henderson.
