Dog Walking in Fruita

Located in Mesa County, the Colorado city of Fruita was originally a place where fruit was produced, just like its name suggests. The Fruita Fall Festival always welcomes tourists every year. If you have a dog, there are also five veterinary clinics and animal hospitals within the Fruita, which makes this town a safe pup destination.

Every dog enjoys going to the park, so be sure to visit Circle Park when you are in this puptown! Here there is plenty of green grass for investigating, as well as picnic tables to chill out. There is some shade provided by the trees, as well as a large gazebo that you can rent for events. There’s even a pawsome dinosaur statute here! For a leisurely stroll, you can also head to Reed Park. You can wander around at your own pace here, and sometimes the park even hosts neighborhood events.

If you need a place to stay while you are visiting Fruita, check out the La Quinta Inn & Suites. Here you can enjoy a comfortable stay with two pups of any size, and you don’t have to pay an additional fee. Doesn’t that sound pawsome? If you love camping, you can also check out the James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park Campground. Here you can chill out and go hiking, as well as fish in the lakes. Pooches are welcome here, as long as they remain on leash. Be sure to keep an eye out for wild horses too!
