Grand Valley Canal Rd

All pooches love a trip to the park, so don’t forget to pay a visit to Veteran’s Memorial Park in Palisade! This is a family park that has plenty to offer everyone, including your furry friend. There are swings and a kid’s playground, as well as picnic tables torelax and enjoy a treat. For your pup, there is plenty of green grass for rolling and roaming, as well as trees offering some shade. If you get hungry, you can always head to Palisade Café 11.0. If you are traveling in an RV, check out the RV Ranch at Grand Junction. You can park and enjoy a base for the night, with pooches welcome around the grounds on leash. Corn Lake

If you drive 7.5 miles southwest of Palisade, you will reach the Corn Lake neighborhood in Clifton. This is a pawsome place to bring your pup for an adventure! Here you will find the Corn Lake Section of the puptastic Colorado River State Park Wildlife Area. This snifftastic trail is around three miles long, with wetland areas to explore and beautiful lakes to see. Since bikes can use this trail, it is best to keep your pooch on leash. For some fun in the sun, don’t forget to visit the Rocky Mountain Elementary Park when you are in the neighborhood. There is a looped trail here for a leisurely stroll, as well as plenty of large open spaces for playing fetch. Pups are welcome here, as long as they remain on leash.
