Arcadia, Florida is a medium-sized city with the perfect mix between an old-time atmosphere and contemporary offerings.  Visitors to this beautiful city can stay at one of their many pet-friendly lodgings, like the Knights Inn, Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, or one of their many campgrounds and RV parks.

Multiple parks for you and Fido to play are spread out throughout the city.  Desoto Veteran's Memorial Park is one of them.  This park is a well-shaded area with great access to Peace River, one of the largest rivers in Florida.  The park offers picnic tables for your convenience and you can explore the natural woods and trails throughout the grounds.

Should anything happen causing you to need a vet clinic, Arcadia has four state-of-the-art animal hospitals for you to choose from.

When you and Fido are hungry, check out the Nav-a-Gator Grill, the locals' favorite place to eat and be entertained at the same time.  This restaurant is a dockfront with spacious outdoor seating and a menu just for Fido.  Live music is featured weekly on the outside stage.

Looking for a break from the heat?  The Open Road Bar allows dogs inside and outside!  Here, you can find special events regularly, like karaoke and live music.  It's popular with bikers and is where you'll want to go to enjoy a bit of entertainment while watching people play pool and unwind from their day.

    #1 West Arcadia

In West Arcadia, you can find one of the largest parks in the city, Morgan Park.  When you come here, plan to spend the day strolling with Fido exploring the pristine nature -- 240 acres of preserved land gives you access to immense cypress trees, sabal palm, and saw palmetto.  Many of the hiking trails follow the Peace River and take you across multiple antique footbridges. Wildlife abounds, so Fido needs to be on a leash, but if you are both quiet, you may see deer.  Keeping Fido on a leash also helps with safety, as many alligators have been spotted here. It's a great place to go for a meal with the pavilion and picnic areas.  Restrooms are available for your convenience.
