The Fort Lauderdale Canine Beach is a section of Fort Lauderdale Beach where dogs are allowed. You will need a permit for beach access, and there is a park ranger there to enforce this rule. The park also provides doggy waste bags, and there are showers for rinsing sand off at the end of your visit.

Snyder Park

Another hot spot for dogs and dog owners that is just a short drive from Boca del Mar is the Dog Swim and Bark Park in Snyder Park in Fort Lauderdale. This is basically Disneyworld, but for dogs! It has a separate section for little dogs, a clean dog beach, off-leash areas and even an agility course for adventurous dogs to use. The greater Snyder Park has plenty of other things for the whole family to do including picnicking, volleyball, basketball, and playgrounds.
