The Bluffs South

One of the best off-leash beaches in Florida is Jupiter Beach, located just 10 miles away from Hobe Sound. The beach can be found in Jupiter Beach Park in East Jupiter. There is a designated place where doggos can dig freely in the sand and dip their paws in the water without having to tug on the leash. There is free parking near the beach, which is a big plus on those infamously hot Florida summer days. Make sure you bring plenty of fresh water and a water bowl, as well as doggie baggies for cleaning up. There are showers and dog baggies at every entrance.

South Stuart

If your pup feels more comfortable in a park setting than on a beach, then make sure you visit Poppleton Creek Dog Park. This park is fairly close to Hobe Sound, around 12 miles away, and is located in South Stuart. The park is securely enclosed and has designated areas for smaller doggies and larger pups to keep everyone safe and happy. The park is very well-maintained and provides water bowls for the doggies. There is even a lake where dogs can dip their paws outside of the fenced area. Just make sure you're really careful since there have been warnings about alligators in the lake!

Peanut Island

How would you feel about a whole dog-friendly island? (Pretty good, we'd wager!) It's not a dream -- it really exists, and it's called Peanut Island! The island is around 21 miles away from Hobe Sound, and it can be accessed via a dog-friendly ferry ride for $10, or you can kayak there with your dog. You can even rent a boat, so you have plenty of options depending on your need for adventure. Officially, your pup has to be on-leash on the island, but plenty of people let their well-behaved dogs off-leash. Make sure you take water and poop baggies with you. You can even go camping on the island -- and doggies are, of course, welcome to join you!

The Bluffs

Another woof-derful park that you can take your pooch to in the vicinity of Hobe Sound is the F.I.N.D. Park located in The Bluffs, Jupiter. This park is around 14 miles away from Hobe Sound and offers two separately fenced areas for small and large dogs to play safely. Both fenced areas have kiddie pools for cooling down, hoses, and water bowls. Don't forget to pack a towel if you plan to let your pup splash! You'll also find toys scattered throughout the mostly grassy ground, as well as plenty of seating areas so you can sit back and watch over your pooch.

East Port St. Lucie

Another fairly close dog park to Hobe Sound is the Lyngate Dog Park, which is ruffly 20 miles away. This park includes three separate areas that allow small, medium-sized, and large dogs to play separately for your peace of mind. Water is available, and waste baggies are supplied so you can do your bit to help keep the park clean. Agility equipment is provided here for especially active pups that need a little more exercise. The park also offers shaded benches so you can keep an eye on your pooch while you rest, relax, and make some new friends yourself!
