Fort Pierce South
This Fort Pierce neighborhood offers scenic views, shopping, dining and entertainment. Take your pooch to Maravilla Park, a dedicated dog park that is fenced in that allows them to play off-leash! There is a small dog area and a large dog area joined by a common area, complete with ramps and drinking fountains for people and pups. Downtown Fort Pierce
Downtown Fort Pierce is located overlooking the water, offering breathtaking views for residents and their guests as well as fun events and dog friendly services. Veterans Park and Riverwalk Center hosts dog-friendly events like their Treasure Coast BBQ Championship where you can enjoy eating some great food, listening to music, and strolling with a cold brew along the beautiful Indian River with your pooch! All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. Port St. Lucie is 14 miles south of Fort Pierce and offers quite a few dog friendly accommodations and activities. Lyngate Dog Park is a ¾ acre doggie park that features three fenced compounds for small, medium and large dogs, shade structures and benches, drinking fountains for people and pets, dog agility structures, mulched paths with shade trees, and grassed open space areas! Oak Hammock Park offers a number of amenities including on-leash dog walking in designated areas along C-24 canal that provides a beautiful stream and open spaces. The PetSmart located in the Landing at Tradition shopping center hosts a lot of events, including adoption drives and a fun Puppy Love event!

Indian River Estates
Indian River Estates is a family friendly neighborhood located 7 miles down the coast from Fort Pierce, and offers easy access to some local dog-friendly fun! Walton Rocks Dog Beach is an off-leash dog park with covered picnic tables, restrooms, and plenty of room to roam and the freedom to walk the beach or play in the waves with your pup! For those of you who are lucky enough to own a Doberman, there is a seasonal Bring Your Doberman to the Beach Day. This event is for all Doberman owners of any color, age or size.
