If seafood sounds satisfying, head over to The Patio Seafood Tavern, which offers fresh seafood and delicious steaks. The outdoor patio is dog-friendly, so long as your dog is on a leash. Seafood not your thing? No problem! Give Osceola Bistro a try. This popular spot serves classic American food with a modern spin. Fido is welcome on the patio, but you might want to call ahead. It can get quite busy! A leash is required.

Riverside

The Riverside neighborhood, located in the eastern part of Vero Beach, is home to Vero Dog Park. This dog park is large and fenced in, with separate sections for both big and small dogs. If your pup gets tired out while having a ball with his new fur-iends, head over to one of the many shady areas or water fountains until he’s ready to play some more. Make sure to bring a towel, as there’s even a little pool area your dog can cool off in. This is an off-leash park, but you might want to bring one anyway, because your dog surely won’t want to leave.

East Vero Beach

East Vero Beach is home to Lagoon Greenway, a three-mile long trail housed on nearly 200 acres of marshland. What could be better than combining nature with your dog’s favorite part of the day? With beautiful views, this trail is sure to be just as exciting for you as it is for your four-legged friend. Make sure to bring plenty of water and your dog’s leash, as one is required for your pet to be on the trail with you. Always be on the lookout for local wildlife, as alligators are known to habituate the trail!

North Vero Beach

North Vero Beach is home to Historic Jungle Trail, which has been around since the 1920s! This 8-mile long trail, which is really a road with hard-packed sand, is sure to provide your dog with plenty of fun sights and sounds as he gets in his daily exercise. Make sure you take plenty of water for both you and your dog, as it can get quite sunny. Locals advise watching out for cyclists. All that’s required for you and your dog to enjoy the track is a leash and a good pair of walking shoes!

Downtown Fort Pierce

Located about 20 minutes south of Vero Beach is Fort Pierce, Florida, which has even more restaurants where your pup can join you. If you’re in the mood for Italian, swing by Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, where your pet can join you at the outdoor tables. Call ahead, as seating is limited. If you’re looking for a casual spot to grab a bite to eat, check out Cobb’s Landing, with a spacious patio overlooking the marina. Cobb’s Landing features fresh, local seafood and burgers that can’t be beat. A leash is required at both restaurants.
