I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and public health. Before deciding to study psychology, I heavily considered going to veterinarian school. I have always loved animals so much. I grew up with dogs, cats, and rabbits. I have taken care of multiple families' dogs while their owners are away, and have volunteered at lost pet shelters. My love for animals and exercise, responsibleness, and punctuality make me an ideal candidate to walk your dog/s :)
A census-designated place in Saint Lucie County, Florida, Fort Pierce North has more Florida charm than anyone could begin to ask for! Not that you’ll be complaining, of course. A local hit with dog lovers, it’s no wonder people and their pups flock to the city. If you live locally, or if you’re just dropping in for a brief trip, there are a multitude of fantastic ways to spend time with your dog in Fort Pierce North.
Part of the greater Fort Pierce, the area is busy -- but not too busy, of course. It’s just right for you and Fido! For a relaxing stop with your pup pal, make your way to Heathcote Botanical Gardens. The small admission fee is well worth the price, as you are your pup can tread the paths there and enjoy the numerous plants available on display. With over one 100 tropical bonsai trees to marvel at, this garden hosts one of the most prolific bonsai collections in the United States. You’ll need to keep your darling dog leashed at all times, and be prepared to pick up any messy mishaps. Water bowls are provided throughout the property, making this the perfect stop on a hot and sunny day.
Your first stop should be the eastern part of Fort Pierce North, just a little ways towards the coast from central Fort Pierce North. This scenic location is where you’ll find Wildcat Cove Preserve and Dog Park. Keep your dog on a leash no longer than eight feet long, at least while you’re hiking the trails along the lagoon. The lagoon has sights that can’t be missed, and your pup will certainly have a ball -- a tennis ball, that is! Just bring plenty of cool drinking water and your trusty collapsible water bowl and be prepared to clean up after Fido.
Next stop, mosey on over towards Central Fort Pierce South -- it’s a must-see on your doggy day trip! This locale hosts Maravilla Park, a dog-friendly park where your pup is free to have a bit of off-leash fun. With two fenced-in locations for large and small canines, you won’t have to worry about your tiny terrier dealing with a bunch of big brutes -- or maybe the terrier is the one you should worry about! Additionally, there is a central area connecting the parks which contains a picnic shelter. Pack some nice snacks and prepare for a fun-filled day with your furry friend!
Travel northeast a bit and pitter patter your pup's paws to East Fort Pierce, the place to be if you’re looking for a tasty treat -- especially if you’re a fan of burgers. Archie’s Seabreeze is one of the best burger joints in the state -- and perhaps the country! Here, you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly seating on the outdoor deck and friendly faces of both the human and canine variety. Your precious pup can join you on the expansive deck, where they’ll be treated like regular royalty by the wait staff and the other patrons of the restaurant. Your pup will receive water, and you can peruse the menu for a tasty treat for yourself!
Your pup will be thrilled with a ride to Downtown Fort Pierce, where you’ll find another restaurant with a selection of tasty concoctions -- namely of the seafood variety. You'll feel welcome at Cobb's Landing, and your diva doggy is sure to love the pawsitive attention they’ll receive from the other diners. The wait staff also loves dogs and encourages you to bring your pup for a bowl of ice water on a hot and sunny day. Their menu includes Angus beef, but you’d be doggone crazy to miss out on the multitude of seafood options. Try their gumbo! You really can’t go wrong!
Last but definitely not least for those of you with a sweet tooth, you and your precious pup should mosey on over to Central Fort Pierce for a treat that can’t be beat -- for humans, anyway! At Importico’s Bakery Cafe, you’ll find chefs preparing a number of artisan treats, from cannolis to brownies to their special bread recipes. Join Fido at any of the four outdoor tables and prepare to fully indulge. You may want to bring some tasty treats for your pup to enjoy as well, especially as they’ll have to be briefly tied up while you go inside to order. Don’t worry, they’ll be in good company!
