Dupuis Management Area is a huge outdoor hunting and recreational space where you can hunt, horseback ride, camp and hike. Dogs that are kept on a tight leash are allowed to enjoy all activities with their owners except for hunting; the only type of hunting dogs can partake in is small game like rabbits and squirrels. If all the hiking, camping and hunting has you feeling famished, you and your pooch can visit the Seminole Inn, where dogs are allowed to dine on their patios with their people.

Taylor Creek
Lake Okeechobee is about 15 miles northwest down the US-441 South highway from Zana, where it is surrounded by waterways and overlooks the massive Lake Okeechobee. The Okeechobee KOA Resort provides locals and guests with the opportunity to camp, golf, play tennis, go swimming, workout, boat, bike, fish, hike or relax in the hot tub. Dogs that are well-behaved and kept on leash are allowed on the campgrounds and hiking trails. However, they are not permitted in any of the other areas of the resort. Whispering Pines is a quaint community that offers easy access in and out of the area from US-441 South, which is about 20 miles from Zana. Nearby Taylor Creek/Nubbins Slough is a huge land resource area that offers fun activities like biking, hiking, bird watching, and to watch the local wildlife; dogs that are kept on a tight leash are allowed to use the hiking trails and bask in the breathtaking scenery.
