Hudson Hill/Bayview
If you're looking for something different to do and enjoy having a beer now and then, why not go visit a brewery? Southbound Brewing Company allows you to tour their facility and enjoy samples of beer made on-site. That’s not the best part, though. You can bring Fido along with you! The brewery invites well-behaved, leashed dogs to accompany you on the tour. They even provide your pup with water so that he can get in on the taste-testing fun, too! To prevent any embarrassing accidents, we suggest making sure your dog goes to the bathroom before coming inside.

Historic District North
If you’re visiting Savannah or are a local looking to learn more about the city’s history, why not check out Oliver Bentley’s Historic Dog Tours? You can find the start of the tour about 15 minutes from Garden City. This tour is specifically designed for dog owners, with you and your pup getting a free bag of homemade dog treats at the end of the tour. It takes about 90 minutes, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. A leash is required for your pup, and you will be asked to clean up any mess he makes.

Beach Institute
Your pup will be barking “Mother, may I?” to go visit Mother Matilda Beasley Dog Park! This off-leash dog park is about 20 minutes from Garden City, but this small bark park is the perfect size for dogs who need the opportunity to socialize with other pups. While your dog is playing with his new pals, you can have a seat on one of the benches in the park. Locals do warn that if you take your dog there after a heavy rain, you’ll leave with a very muddy dog. Make sure to keep some towels in your car just in case!

Old West Broad
This neighborhood, located about 15 minutes from Garden City, is the pawfect place for small dog owners! If your dog is under 25 pounds, he can join you at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. This museum has trains that helped build the surrounding cities on display! Old Savannah Tours allows you and your small dog to take in Savannah’s rich history during a trolley ride. Fido must be on his leash, and the staff kindly requests you clean up after your pup. If your dog is over 25 pounds, visit Battlefield Memorial Park, which pays homage to soldiers who died in 1779’s Battle of Savannah.

Yamacraw Village
If you and Fido find yourselves getting hungry, Savannah’s Yamacraw Village neighborhood, just five miles outside of Garden City, is the perfect place to be! Belford’s Savannah dishes up mouthwatering crab cakes, ribeyes, and more. They even bring your dog a bowl of ice water while you dine on the patio. Goose Feathers: An Express Café and Bakery is a more casual establishment that’s open for breakfast and lunch. Fido can join you on the patio while you dive into a plate of bacon and eggs. It’s a classic! A leash is required at both restaurants. Bone Appetit!
