Yamacraw Village in Savannah, Georgia is about an hour drive from Daufuskie Island, so you may want to make this one a day trip. Bluffton Center in Bluffton, South Carolina is about 14 miles from Daufuskie Island. This area sits on the Harbor River and has pup-friendly hotels, shopping, restaurants, and more for you to enjoy with your dog. Westbury Park in Bluffton is just about 5 minutes north of Bluffton Center. It’s a popular neighborhood for residents and is close to some great shopping and dining areas. This neighborhood is home to Bluffton’s PETCO store, where dogs are welcome to join their owners to pick up all their necessities, like shampoo, food, toys, and more. The area has a lot of restaurants that welcome your dog to dine with you at pet-friendly tables. Walnuts Café is one of the popular local spots featuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites served with Southern style. Harbor Town
A 25-minute drive from Daufuskie Island will bring you to the Hilton Head Island neighborhood of Harbour Town. There are also ferries that can bring you back and forth to the island a bit faster than your car will, and some of them are dog-friendly. This area launches Captain Mark’s Dolphin Cruises, a tour company that lets you see the gorgeous dolphins of the area in their natural habitat. The tours welcome leashed dogs to join their owners! Vagabond Cruise is another similar tour company that allows leashed dogs to enjoy the view. You can also take a trip to Sea Pines Forest Preserve with your leashed dog and enjoy the hiking trails and scenic beauty.

Tybee Island
Tybee Island in Georgia is a small town with one neighborhood. This island will take you about an hour and a half to get to by car, but you may be able to catch a boat between islands for a faster trip. Be sure to visit Tybee Island Dog Park, a popular hangout spot for dog owners and their best pals. This park has shade, benches, and plenty of fenced-in space for your dog to run and socialize. Your dog is also welcome to join you for one of the Sea Kayak Georgia tours, where you can explore the island and the coast of Savannah.
