Old Jesup
If your dog is an adorable furball of unlimited energy, take him to the Jesup Dog Park so he can run it all off. Located on East Plum Street, this fenced-in, off-leash dog park has two separate areas for large and small dogs, and benches for the dog parents. Pick-up bags are also provided in case you forgot to bring your own. The Jesup Dog Park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so Fido can run and play unfettered anytime. Make sure your pup's rabies vaccine is up to date, and that he's wearing his tag and ID on his collar.

Golden Isles Pkwy
Is your pup bored and in need of some exercise? Take him for a leashed walk at the Bill Morris Park. This spacious park contains multiple athletic fields, as well as a mile-long nature trail that goes around the James Boykin Lake. Go for a leisurely stroll around the water and say hello to the ducks that call it home. The lake is named for county commissioner James Boykin, who played a key role in improving the recreational opportunities in the community. Note that shade is limited at the Bill Morris Park, so wear sunscreen and bring enough water for you and your pooch.

Head up northeast to the Jesup Drive-In Theatre to enjoy a blast from the past with your pup! Opened in 1948, the Jesup Drive-In is the oldest drive-in in Georgia and one of the few left in the entire country. The drive-in plays contemporary flicks in a vintage setting, complete with carhops dressed in '50s outfits serving diner food. After the movie, get a good night's sleep at Motel Jesup, where pets of any size are welcome for a nominal fee. The motel's amenities include free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a picnic area, while rooms are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, and flat-screen TVs.

This neighborhood in nearby Hinesville, 25 miles northeast of Jesup, has two woofderful parks for you and Fido to enjoy. Spanning 150 acres, the Bryant Commons is a beautiful passive park where you and your pooch can take a leashed stroll around the 15-acre pond and along the Veterans Memorial Walk. Half a mile away is the smaller Bradwell Park, which features benches, a gazebo, and mature trees. A serene spot in the heart of the city, this park hosts a weekly farmers market and is a good place to rest if you and Fido need to take a break from walking around downtown.
