Downtown Concord, New Hampshire is about 6.5 miles from Bow. This neighborhood is filled with dog-friendly restaurants, so it’s the pawfect place to stop when you want a yummy meal with your favorite pooch! Washington Street Café is a favorite of the locals for its quaint, cozy atmosphere and various vegan menu options. There are even some outdoor sidewalk tables that make for a furtastic spot for lunch with your dog. Checkmate Pizza also has some outdoor picnic tables for a dog-friendly meal. Then, head to White Park, a public space that’s become somewhat of an unofficial on-leash dog park for pups and their owners.

Around 15.5 miles from Bow is the Bear Brook State Park area of Suncook/Allenstown. You and your leashed dog are welcome at the Bear Brook State Park, which offers camping and walking trails for you and your furry friend. The campgrounds have fishing spots, designated biking trails, swimming locations, small beaches, and other fun adventures in store for your dog. Spot will have to stay on a leash wherever he goes in the park, but for an outdoor-loving dog, this place is furtastic. You can also hop on the nearby Hooksett rail trail, which has almost two miles of space to explore.

South Main Street

South Main Street of Hooksett is just under six miles from Bow. This area is the home of Hooksett Dog Park, a beloved spot for dogs and their furry friends to get some exercise and playtime outdoors. The park has two fenced-in areas for small and large dogs, and there’s even a small beach area for water-loving dogs to splash around. Your dog is also welcome at Robie’s Country Store for a delicious breakfast or lunch he’ll go mutts for! Sit at one of the cozy outside tables and enjoy breakfast sandwiches, wraps, grilled meats, and more.

The Main Street area of Raymond, New Hampshire is about 31.5 miles from Bow. This neighborhood has an off-leash dog park known as Riverside Bark Dog Park. This pupular spot offers shady areas and ample space for your dog of any size to make some new friends and enjoy some fresh air. The Rockingham Recreational Trail is also in this area as part of the Rails-to-Trails organization. The massive 28-mile trail is a furtastic place to wind down for the day and take a stroll through tree-lined paths. Several spots along the trail offer some breathtaking sites and historic spots, making for quite the interesting hike for both of you.

Pawtuckaway State Park Area

The Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham is another great place to go with your adventurous pooch. The park is just over 36 miles from Bow and is beloved by locals and tourists alike for its many dog-friendly trails. Pawtuckaway allows pets in several areas of the park and campgrounds during the off-season, but many of the hiking trails are open to dogs year-round. The North Mountain Trail Loop is one of them, featuring some incredible views of water, trees, and caves. Or, get a quick, easy hike in with your furry friend on the Boulder Trail, which also has some rocky areas for climbing.
