Prospect Avenue
Woodcliff Lake is located eight miles west of Closter. Wood Dale County park has over a hundred acres of recreational space for you and your furry family member to explore. The park has a fishing pond and a walking path for a person and a leashed pup to exercise on. The county park also has a fully fenced dog park for some leash-free fun. Pups of all sizes play together in this grassy area. A double-gated entry ensures safe ingress and egress. Drinking water is available at the dog park. Human companions have numerous shaded benches and picnic tables from which to sit and supervise their furry pals.36

E Ridgewood Ave
Ridgewood is located ten miles west of Closter. Ridgewood Bark Park is a pawesome park for leash-free play and exercise! The fully fenced enclosure features a separately fenced section to keep the smaller pooches safe. The entrance to the dog park is double-gated so overly excited dogs don't slip out and take off running. Beautiful green grass is interspersed with dirt and a gray mulch. Mature trees keep people comfy even on those hot summer days. Several pieces of agility equipment are set up in the dog park for training or added exercise. A nearby duck pond gives a person and a leashed four-legged companion a relaxing and scenic stroll.24

Borough Center
Leonia is located thirteen miles south of Closter. Overpeck Park Dog Run puts some wag in your Molly or Max's tail! This leash-free pooch play place has a fully fenced enclosure for large dogs and a separately fenced section for the smaller pups. The dog run is mostly grass with a few patches of dirt in spots. Several pieces of agility equipment, including ramps and tunnels, excite the curious sniffs of four-legged pooches. The human companions appreciate the shaded benches. This dog park is completely fenced with a large and small dog area. The dog park is covered with a gray mulch, which keeps dogs pretty clean even when they play the hardest. It is no problem if a person forgets a water bottle -- this dog park has drinking water, bowls, and even a hose. People will find plenty of toys, like balls and frisbees. A walking path along the majestic Passaic River gives a person and a leashed pup a bit of exercise to experience together.
