After you chow down, you can walk by the Tenakill Brook for a soothing walk by the riverbanks!

Madison Avenue

Either way, if you live in the Madison Avenue neighborhood, you can walk over the Delvina Restaurant for some traditional Italian dishes! Best part, Delvina lets you bring your doggo! The restaurant serves pasta, veal, and grilled items with an impressive wine list too! Try the Fettucine Delvina, Chicken Contindina, or the Veal San Guiseppe. After loading up on pasta, you two can visit Cook Field. This patch of open grassy space spans a few blocks and is a great place for a walk with Fido!

Tenafly Nature Center

Does your dog love visiting state parks where he can roam the wilderness? Head southeast from the center of Cresskill and you'll land at the Tenafly Nature Center. This 400-acre forest is maintained by a non-profit that seeks to educate the public on preserving and appreciating nature. There are 6 different trails to wander through, with varying degrees of difficulty and span over 7 miles. Each trail has scenic views, some of which overlook the Hudson River. Fido's more than welcome to explore the forest on his leash, and if you're lucky, you might spot one of the native species of birds, amphibians, mammals, and plants that call Tenafly home!

Main Street

Is your dog a history "wuff" that loves visiting memorials? If you live on the western side of Cresskill, this places you close to Camp Merritt Memorial Park. The center of attraction is a 20-meter tall obelisk which commemorates soldiers who passed of influenza during World War I. There are also other statues and reliefs etched into granite around the park. The park adds some interesting history lessons to your daily stroll with Fido! After a nice walk, you can hop in the car and head over to Milford to eat at the pet-friendly Mexican restaurant Panchos Burritos. This festive atmosphere combined with authentic Mexican dishes is a great place for dinner with Fido!

Palisades Interstate Park

Does your dog like state parks with riverfront views? Of course he does! In that case, Palisades Interstate Park is the pawfect place to visit. You and Fido can explore and hike through the 100,000 acres of preserved land that overlooks the Hudson River. Palisades was formed by both New York and New Jersey to preserve the land which was being destroyed by stone quarries. There are over 30 miles of hiking trails, nature sanctuaries, and historic sites to trek through. Fido is welcome to come and play here as long as he's on his leash. Visiting Palisades will help Fido get back in touch with his inner primordial roots!
