This Montclair neighborhood is home to the pawesome Brookdale Dog Park. This large dog park is located 15 miles from New Milford, and it offers separate areas for large and small dogs to play in. Both areas have agility equipment for your dog to play on, and they have large fields where your pup can go for runs. There are also doggy showers and doggy water fountains available. After the park, treat your pup to lunch at The Noble East. This Chinese fine-dining restaurant welcomes dogs at their four outdoor tables, and they’ll bring your pup a bowl of water to enjoy.

If you’re looking for a fun park for your pup, head two miles down the road from New Milford to Van Saun Park. This large county park has an off-leash dog run with separate areas for big and small dogs. Both areas feature plenty of space for your pup to frolic and play. Be sure to bring water with you when you visit this dog park. Van Saun Park also has a pawesome multi-use path where you can take your dog for on-leash walks. This 1.5-mile trail takes you past historic Washington Spring Garden, Bergen County Zoological Park, and the Millennium Carousel. You and your pup will always have fun at this park!

East Ridgewood Avenue

This Ridgewood neighborhood is home to another furrific off-leash area, Ridgewood Bark Park. This park is about six miles from New Milford, and it has separate small and large dog areas. Both areas have toys for your pup to play with and also feature agility equipment. Bring water with you, and enjoy everything this park has to offer. If you want to go for lunch after playing at the dog park, check out It’s Greek to Me. This Greek eatery welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and the wait staff will bring your dog a bowl of water. While your dog enjoys their drink, you can dine on souvlaki, moussaka, calamari, and more.

Prospect Avenue

This Woodcliff Lake neighborhood is home to another fun-filled park, Wood Dale County Park. Located seven miles from New Milford, this 118-acre park has one fenced, off-leash area where dogs can run and play. There’s drinking water in this park for your pup, and doggy bags are also available. Wood Dale County Park also has a great walking path to explore with your dog. This lovely path will take you around a pond and through the woods.
