Maywood makes sure its dogs have a place to play off-leash. The Maywood Dog Park is located within Memorial Park, the borough's largest park. Memorial Park has open green areas, picnic sites, and a playground. It also has a fully enclosed dog park that puts some spunk back into your Spot! The ground is a mostly a white rock terrain with some patches of grass and dirt. No water is immediately available in the dog park. Dog bowls are provided, though, so bring water to share with some friends. A few pieces of agility equipment give pups a chance to exercise those paws. Waste stations are fully stocked with doggie waste baggies. Registration and a small fee are required before visiting.

Paramus

Paramus is located five miles north of Maywood. Van Saun County Dog Park has a place for your pup to rid the leash and make a few new four-legged pals. This dog park has a fully fenced large dog space and a smaller section for safer play for the small pups. The entrance is double-gated so no pup gets lost in the excitement of leaving or arriving. The ground is a gravel terrain that stays tidy even after a driving rain. No drinking water is available on-site, but the main park has plenty of restrooms where water bottles may be refreshed. Waste stations are stocked with waste baggies for easy clean-ups.

E Ridgewood Ave

Ridgewood is located eight miles north of Maywood. Ridgewood Bark Park delights visiting pups with its duck pond in the distance and its fully fenced playground for off-leash freedom! The dog park has a double-gated entry for easy ingress and egress. The enclosure has a section for large dogs and a separately fenced section for safe small dog antics. The ground has some long, soft grass that makes a roll in it seem like just the right thing for a pup to do. Some patches of the dog park have dirt and a gray mulch cover. Mature trees give people a place to find some cool spots when the summer sun beats down. Pieces of agility equipment are an added bonus.

Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst is located nine miles south of Maywood. Riverside County Dog Park makes for a woof-wonderful time off-leash. This dog park has a completely fenced enclosure for large dogs to sniff out one of their own kind.  A small dog area keeps these wee pups safe as they sniff out their own pint-sized pals. Forgot your water bottle? No problem! This dog park has water, water bowls, and even a hose for filling a kiddie pool or rinsing off on a hot summer's day. The ground is a gravel mulch which makes those doo-doo piles easy to spot and even easier to pick up. Waste baggies are provided to simplify the job. Benches positioned in the shade keep the human folk comfy while their pups have a blast.

Bellevue Ave

Montclair is located thirteen miles south of Maywood. Your pup will pawsitively love playing at Brookdale Dog Park! This fully fenced enclosure has a place for large pups and another for the smaller pooches. The ground is covered with a fine graveled mulch which feels surprisingly soft on those paws. Pieces of agility equipment make this dog park a pupular place to do extra training or just try something new.  No one has to leave the dog park to get water -- it is all taken care of here!  Waste stations are scattered throughout the park, and waste baggies are provided. No excuse not to keep the place tidy! Plenty of benches under the shade keep the human companions happy and comfortable.
