If Fido loves grass, the park offers tons of open grassy areas where Fido can run and play fetch. The park can get a little busy at times since it hosts Little League games and other holiday events, so pay attention in case Fido isn't much of a crowd person. Less then five minutes out of Hackensack in Teaneck are two great eateries where you and Fido can have a tasty meal together. Victoria's Cafe serves a variety of food including sandwiches, steaks, chicken, and seafood options. Locals love their toasted ravilois and seafood salad. Head over to Leonia, only three miles out of Hackensack, and check out the Overpeck Park Dog Run. This pawsome dog park is a great spot to let Fido run around off-leash and socialize with others. The dog park is separated into a small and large sections, so your furry friend can play with other pups that are his size. There are also benches for owners to sit on and plenty of shade to help keep your pup cool. The park has tons of grass for fetch and grass rollies, but it does not offer water, so don't forget yours.
