Named for the port city of La Rochelle, France, Rochelle Park is a New Jersey township located just 30-40 minutes north of New York. While there are no veterinary clinics in the area, the closest one is only less than a couple of miles away in nearby Maywood.

The Saddle River County Park is a woofderful place to take your pup for a walk and a picnic while you're in town. Spanning 577 acres, this linear park is composed of various areas in six communities, all linked by a multi-use path. In the Rochelle Park area, you'll find picnicking spots, athletic fields, and the south trailhead of the Saddle River Area Bike Path.

The bike path starts at the entrance of the Saddle River County Park, and travels through a wooded area and along the Saddle River. Follow it as a loop for a 2-mile walk around the park and stay within Rochelle Park, or continue on to the Otto C. Pehle area in neighboring Saddle Brook for a lengthier adventure.

If all that walking has made you hungry, take a short drive to Woodstone Pizza Bar & Grill for some Italian-American fare. Share an outdoor table with your pooch at their spacious patio, which is gated and shaded for diners' comfort.

Come see what's in store for you and Fido at Rochelle Park!
