Paramus

Although Paramus' municipal parks ban dogs, this community didn't fur-get about its canine residents! Van Saun Dog Park makes it fun to be a dog, with its fully fenced enclosure for some leash-free running. This dog park has a gray gravel ground which doesn't get a dog that dirty on one of those rainy days. The small dogs have their own place to play, too. Water may be supplied at the dog park, but be prepared anyway on a first visit. Some locals have reported that water was absent or the source wasn't working. Waste baggies are stocked, though. Human companions may moan at the lack of seating and shade, but this is no problem for a furry friend!

Ridgewood

Ridgewood is located six miles north of Paramus. Ridgewood Bark Park is found in the Saddle River County Park. Hounds have a howlin' good time when they are let free to run in this fully fenced park! Smaller guys don't get trampled by the pack, because they have their own separate enclosure. A mixture of mulch, dirt, and grass will found under those happy paws. This dog park has agility equipment for training or just some additional fun. Many toys can be found here, too. Seating and shade are limited for the human companion, and no water is available on-site.

bellevue Ave

The Bellevue neighborhood in Montclair is only thirteen miles south of Paramus. Here, you'll find Brookdale Dog Park. This pupular place is always busy with dogs safely running leash-free in one of the two fully fenced enclosures. Brookdale Dog Park has agility equipment for those active pooches that need a place to do some extra training. The ground is covered by a gravel mulch that helps everyone and the dog park stay clean. Water fountains service this essential need for both a person and thirsty pup. Waste baggies are supplied for another need, too. Human companions will appreciate the shaded benches.

Lyndhurst

Riverside Dog Park in Lyndhurst, just 13 miles from Paramus, is a furrific spot that's sure to make your dog's tail wag! This dog park features a small, fenced area for your Yorkie, and a bigger one for your St. Bernard or Great Dane. Regardless of size, all have a pawsome time at this dog park!  The ground at the Riverside Dog Park is covered with gray fine gravel. Water is available on-site, and a hose helps to ensure the ride home is clean. Many chairs can be found in shaded places, and waste baggies are amply stocked. This dog park keeps improving, with renovations as recent as 2017, so be sure to visit often to see what's new!

West Milford

Looking for a dog park that's a little different? You'll find it in West Milford, located 28 miles from Paramus! West Milford Dog Park is privately owned by the Pequannock Feed & Supply store. A person can pick up some dog food and let their dog get back to nature in this fully-fenced acre meant for leash-free fun. The owners of the feed store generously provided an area to keep the small dogs safe, too. This is a natural terrain of grass and dirt, so it can get muddy after a rain. Luckily, there's a hose on-site if you don't want a muddy ride home. Many trees abound, and make for great shade in the summer sun. This dog park will have your dog pooped with all its great agility equipment, including a tunnel, A-frame, and jumps. There is no fee to use the dog park, but chipping in helps keep the dog park maintained.
