This is a beautiful place to visit for a relaxing stroll with your pooch, with sniff-tastic trails that wander throughout the 15 acres of wooded wetlands. There is also the Diamond Brook here that often houses geese. For a refreshment, you can drop by Starbucks for a coffee and sweet treat. Of course, you can also order a Puppuccino specially for your furry friend! This whipped cream delight is sure to have your pup’s tail wagging all day long.

A great place to head for some exercise with your furry friend when you are in Glen Rock has got to be the Saddle River Area Bike Path. This is a puptastic place for stretching your pooch’s legs, with around six miles of paths you can follow along the Saddle River. This runs through some local parks, which includes the pawsome Dunkerhook Park that has a beautiful waterfall you can admire on your journey. Plus, your canine will love to see all of the ponds and wildlife along the way! There are picnic areas and benches for stopping and having a rest, so be sure to bring some refreshments and treats to keep your energy up!

North Broad Street

Every good dog deserves a day out at the dog park! Now you only have to travel 2 miles northeast into Ridgewood to discover the puptastic Ridgewood Bark Park! Here your pup can bound around inside this safe spot, with separate areas for small and large pooches. You will find plenty of toys to play with, as well as agility equipment for some fun. If you get hungry, you can drop into Ben & Jerry’s for a frozen treat. There is special Paw Parking available, as well as a pawsome outdoor space for your pup. They can have fun, enjoy fresh water and treats on the house!

Goffle Brook Park

Only two miles west of Glen Rock, you will find the furiendly borough of Hawthorne. This is a puptastic place for a day with your pup since it is home to the Hawthorne Dog Run! Here you have the oppawtunity to unclip your pooches leash and watch him have fun in this pawsome fenced dog run. Be sure to bring some water with you on hot days. Dogs are also welcome to stroll around Goffle Park on leash, with a beautiful duck pond you can walk around, as well as plenty of green grass and a kid’s playground.

Old Country Club Section

For a day out in nature, head 2.4 miles north west of Glen Rock until you reach Ridgewood. Here you will find the beautiful Gypsy Pond Park beside the Goffle Brook. This is combined with the Kings Pond Park, both named for the two ponds they are near. Here you can take your pooch on a sniff-tastic nature trail where you can explore trees and green grass, as well as the fishing oppawtunities at the ponds. There is also an open grassy field where you can play fetch with your pooches favorite ball or Frisbee. Be sure to bring some treats and water for after all that fun!
