Ridgewood
Ridgewood is five miles south of Wyckoff. Saddle River County Dog Park is tucked within the county park of the same name, which has exceptionally scenic places to picnic and hike. The main park requires dogs to stay on their leash. For off-leash fun, make a beeline for the dog park, which is divided into two areas so that the small dogs can play safely. This dog park has a hard gravel surface. There are a few pieces of agility equipment for some extra fun if there aren't any other canine companions around to play with. The dog park does not have water on-site, but waste baggies are supplied.

bellevue Ave
Just 16 miles south of town, you'll find Brookdale Dog Park in Montclair. This dog park makes it a good day to be a dog! Brookdale has all the necessary amenities, plus a friendly crowd of local pups that keep visitors coming back. This fully fenced dog park has a small and large dog enclosure. There are several pieces of agility equipment for training or just for fun, as well as water fountains designed for both people and pups. The ground is a mixture of mulch and natural terrain. You'll also find plenty of seating here where you can kick back and relax while your canine companion works up a good pant.

Lyndhurst City Limits
Lyndhurst is 17 miles south of Wyckoff, and is home to Riverside Dog Park, a fully fenced, grassy enclosure that gives dogs a chance to exercise and socialize off-leash. A separate enclosure is set aside for the smaller dogs. The dog park has water and water bowls as well as waste bags, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own supplies. Throw toys are provided, but are meant to be shared, so if your pooch is territorial when it comes to toys, you might want to bring your own. Human companions have shaded places to sit and watch their pup have fun. The main park also has an easy walking path near a small lake for a person and a leashed dog to enjoy together.

West Milford City Limits
Most dog parks are owned and operated by city parks and recreation departments, but West Milford Dog Park isn't like most dog parks. This dog park, located 18 miles from Wyckoff, is privately owned and operated by the Pequannock Feed & Supply Store. This one-acre park is fully fenced, and has a separate area for the small dogs. The ground is grass and dirt. After a hard rain, the dog park can get pretty muddy, but the owners installed a hose so you can rinse Fido's fur. The dog park is free, but donations help maintain it. The dog park operates seven days a week. Don't forget to put your pup on a leash and browse around the store before you head back home!

Beverwyck
Parsippany is twenty-one miles southwest of Wyckoff, and here, you'll find Cameron Dog Park. This fully fenced park has lots of lush grass so dogs can run and play without that pesky leash. Cameron has a separate enclosure for the small dogs, too. Water is available on-site, and waste stations make it convenient to do those clean ups. The ground in this dog park is uneven, so some visitors may not find it as easy to access as other dog parks. A few shaded benches give the human companions a place from which to sit and watch their pups. A permit must be purchased from the city to use this dog park.
