Ridgewood is located just two miles east of Midland Park. Ridgewood Bark Park is designed for a doggone good day outside for a pup needing to play sans leash under a blue sky. This dog park has a small and large dog enclosure for exercise and play. This dog park adventure begins with entry through a double-gate system. The ground is a mixture of grass, dirt, and gray mulch. Large mature shade trees stand within each section of the dog park and around the perimeter. Benches for the human companions give them a place from which to supervise their pups. A few pieces of agility equipment add to the entertainment. Water is available on-site.

Riverside Avenue East

Riverside Avenue East

Lyndhurst is located fifteen miles south of Midland Park. Riverside Park Park has what all dogs must be dreaming of when that tail starts waggin' in their sleep. This fully fenced dog park lets dogs' dreams come true! No leash is necessary for dogs big and little to run and exercise in their own separately fenced areas. Gravel mulch keeps the pups clean even if it rains all night -- no mud here! Drinking water and hoses make it a convenient spot to visit. Doggie waste baggies are never in short supply.  People have shaded benches on which to sit. A stroll along the Passaic River with a leashed dog makes for a pleasant way to end the day.

Montclair is located eighteen miles south of Midland Park. The happy howls and barks of dogs at play fill the air as a person and pup draw near to Brookdale Dog Park. This dog park has two fully fenced places for a canine to rid the leash and take off running and playing with the other pups. The dog park has water available for dogs and people. Waste stations make it super easy to clean up. Agility equipment including ramps and an obstacle course pique some curious noses. You can also enjoy a leashed walk along one of the walking paths within the main park.

Parsippany is twenty-four miles west of Midland Park and is home to Cameron Dog Park. A large stretch of grass makes it possible for dogs to run with noses and tails held high in the wind. Smells good! Feels great!  The terrain in the dog park is a bit uneven, so the human folk need to take care if they want to keep up. The dog park has a separately fenced enclosure which keeps the small dogs safe. Water is supplied in the dog park. More shade and a few benches would make people feel a tad more comfortable while their furry pals play. This is a membership-only park. A small fee must be paid to the city prior to visiting.
South Mountain Reservation

South Mountain Reservation

Maplewood is twenty-nine miles south of Midland Park. South Mountain Dog Park has a beautifully landscaped dog park that offers a small and large dog enclosure for a woof-wonderful outdoor experience for your furry friend. It offers water fountains for dogs and people to drink from.  A hose lets a person rinse off a pal after a hard day of play. A pebbled surface of small gray rocks helps people spot those piles, and waste stations make keeping the place tidy a breeze. Large rocks give people extra things to sit on. Doggos have a variety of agility equipment including ramps, A-frames, and tunnels to make the play more interesting.
