Midland Park has fewer than ten thousand residents. Though small, Midland Park has numerous opportunities and activities for people with a canine companion. People have no need to worry about their furry family member's health needs while living in or visiting Midland Park. Three veterinary clinics operate in town and take care of most routine and emergency needs. Larger communities nearby offer all kinds of veterinary care.

You'll also find three dog-friendly restaurants right in town. Hot Dog Caboose is an interesting little lunch restaurant located on Greenwood Avenue. This retired caboose refashioned into a restaurant serves up hot dogs and sausages. Three outdoor tables make you and your pup feel right at home. Fiona's Ristorante on Godwin Avenue has Italian cuisine. Ten outdoor tables situated on a wrap-around porch make this a popular watering hole for lunch and dinner. Pizzaiolo, also on Godwin Avenue, serves pizza and a variety of Italian sandwiches and entrees. Six dog-friendly tables welcome you and your furry dining companion.

Midland Park does not have any of its own municipal parks. However,  Bergen County offers a wide range of recreational activities for its residents. Many well-maintained parks complete with plenty of recreational opportunities are just a short drive away. Ramapo Valley County Reservation is one of the biggest parks in Bergen County. It has over 4,000 acres for a person and a leashed pup to get out and visit. Ramapo includes over two dozen trails of varying lengths and difficulties. Camping and access to the Ramapo River make this park beautiful scenic place for a person and a leashed pup to explore.
