Glen Rock
The Glen Rock neighborhood in Hawthorne is located just three miles north of Paterson. The Goffel Dog Park will put some prance into your furry friend's paws! This is a fully fenced dog park with a mixture of grass and mulch for some much needed off-leash exercise. A few pieces of agility equipment will amuse your pup. The dog park provides waste baggies. All dogs play together happily in this single enclosure, so if your pooch doesn't play well with dogs of all sizes, you may want to give this one a miss. The main park has a duck pond and shaded paved walkways for you and your leashed pup to get some fresh air together. Numerous benches line the walkway, and there's plenty of shade.36

Ridgewood
Just six miles north of Paterson, you'll find Ridgewood Dog Park, located within Saddle River County Park. This fully fenced dog park lets dogs run sans leash and socialize with their own furry kind. A separate area is set aside for the small dogs too. This dog park's ground is a mixture of gravel with hints of grass and dirt here and there. No water is immediately available, but waste baggies are supplied. Human companions have very few places to sit. The main park offers opportunities for some hiking with your leashed dogs. Picnic areas are scattered throughout the large park.24

bellevue Ave
Montclair is located nine miles south of Paterson. Pawesome pooches head on over to the Brookdale Dog Park for some off-leash playtime! A separate enclosure will keep little pups safe too. The dog park's ground is covered with a mixture of mulch, dirt, and grass. Water fountains for people and their canine companions keep everyone hydrated on the hottest day. Shaded benches let the human companions rest while their dog plays. Waste stations make pickups easy. Agility equipment gives dogs some extra exercise and challenge. In the main park, there are some nice walkways for some leashed strolls with your furry four-legged friend.12

Lyndhurst
Riverside Dog Park in Lyndhurst, just 10 miles south of Paterson, has two fully fenced enclosures for a tail-waggin' good time! Those little dogs will feel comfortable playing in their own separate area. A mixture of gravel and natural terrain is comfortable on the paws and keeps a pup clean after a hard rain. Water is available for people and their pups. Waste baggies are amply stocked, so pick it up! Human companions can find shade along the perimeter of the park where seats are situated. Balls and frisbees let you play a game with Fido and his new friends!
