I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

I was raised on a farm in California, and I have been around dogs since I was a very young child. I have cared for dogs both professionally and for family, roommates and neighbors. I LOVE dogs, and I think they can sense when they meet a dog lover, which probably explains why they tend to love me as much as I love them. I look forward to spending time with your furry friend!

Hello, my name is Gideon. I had two dogs when I was a boy, and I have always loved them. As an adult, I personally rescued a 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier who had been abandoned in the street, and she was the best dog ever! Training and raising her taught me a lot about how dogs behave, and how to walk them responsibly. Thank you for reading my bio, I look forward to meeting and walking your dogs!

Saddle River is a tiny borough situated in Bergen County. Bergen has a great network of amenities for its residents, including many parks with playgrounds, trails, ski resorts, swimming, camping, and many opportunities for a resident with a pup to get outside and have some fun. The borough itself has one veterinary clinic operating within its boundaries, but a short drive in any direction will take your pup to any specialist you may need.
Saddle River does have its own green space for its residents to get outside and get some fresh air. Rindlaub Park is a favorite for residents. It includes large open green areas, a playground, and two paved tracks for biking and walking. People with a leashed pup frequent Rindlaub often to enjoy the tracks or to romp through the green spaces. Cleaning up after your pup, of course, is a must. Rindlaub is the hub for many of the borough's community activities.
Pet owners visiting the borough will find pet-friendly lodging at the Residence Inn by Marriott. This dog-friendly hotel is located at 7 Boroline Road. The hotel welcomes up to two dogs of any size for a single fee of $75 per stay.
Saddle River is the pawfect place for pup parents to live or visit!
Woodcliff Lake is located four miles east of Saddle River. Wood Dale County Park is one of the Bergen County parks that cater to residents with dogs. This 118-acre park has picnic sites, pavilions, decorative gazebos, and a fishing lake. Dogs care most, though, about their play area! Set aside just for them is a fully fenced enclosure for off-leash exercise and fun! All dogs play together in this one area. Good manners and supervision are definitely required here. A water spigot keeps those water bowls full. Waste stations around the dog park are stocked with waste baggies. Numerous toys can be found for all to share.
Ridgewood is located four miles south of Saddle River. Ridgewood Bark Park sits close to a duck pond. This is a beautiful setting and a great location to take a leashed walk around with a human companion. Looking for some off-leash playtime? The Bark Park features two fully enclosed sections for large and small breeds. A double-gated entry provides a more secure entry and exit. The dogs can nose around in a surface of grass, dirt, and mulch. Hyper hounds will want to check the pieces of agility equipment. Large trees around the dog park keep the human companions comfy even on the hottest summer days.
Paramus is located seven miles south of Saddle River. Van Saun County Park has 146 acres of recreational space. Pups on a leash can get some exercise walking the 1.5-mile trail around Walden Pond. The highlight, though, of this county park is the dog park. This dog park has a fully fenced area for dogs to rid the leash and sniff out a few new furry pals. A separately fenced area is reserved for small dogs. This dog park is covered with gravel, so no muddy paws on rainy days! No drinking water is immediately available on-site. However, restrooms are just a short walk away in the main park. Waste stations provide waste bags to make pick-ups a snap.
Westwood is located six miles east of Saddle River. West Woof Dog Run puts some fun into that leash-free run! Like most dog parks, this one has two separate enclosures for small and large dogs. The ground is covered with mulch and patches of dirt. Drinking water is available on-site. A hose comes in handy to rinse off any mud before going home. The hose also fills up those kiddie pools that are so pupular in the hot summer months! The human companions will vie for the three park benches. A .75-mile loop trail in the main park will complete the exercise for the day. A leash is required in the main park.
Leonia is located seventeen miles south of Saddle River. Overpeck Dog Run has two fully fenced areas for dogs to socialize and exercise off-leash. One of the areas is dedicated to small dog play. The ground here is grass covered with patches of dirt in spots -- your fun-loving pup may get dirty! Several pieces of agility equipment, including ramps and tunnels, will challenge your pup. The human companions will appreciate the numerous shaded benches. No water is immediately available on-site. The main park offers five miles of walking trails to experience with your pup on-leash. A 1.25-mile figure eight path beside the lake makes for a good workout.
