Paramus

Paramus is located six miles west of Haworth. Bergen County's Van Saun Park has 146 acres of recreational space for a person and a pup to experience. This park has a zoo (no dogs allowed), picnic areas, and walkways to explore on-leash. A 1.5-mile loop trail makes for some good exercise with a furry leashed companion. The highlight, though, of the park, is the dog park. This off-leash park has two graveled areas for dogs to rid the leash and play and socialize. A separate area is fenced off for the smaller dogs. The entrance to the dog park is double-gated. No water is immediately available, but waste baggies are supplied.

Leonia Downtown

Leonia is located eight miles south of Haworth. Overpeck Park Dog Run lets your pup remove the leash to sniff out a few new furry pals.  This off-leash dog park has two fully fenced areas for dogs to run and socialize. A separate area makes it safer for the small dogs to play. The ground here is a lovely fragrant mix of grass and dirt. Benches situated under the shade make the visit comfy for the human companions. A few pieces of agility equipment, including a ramp and a tunnel, add to the exercise. No water is immediately available on-site, so be sure to bring some.

East Ridgewood Avenue

Ridgewood is located eight miles west of Haworth. Ridgewood Dog Park puts a little spark and bark into your pup's life! This dog park has two fully fenced enclosures for leash-free play and exercise. A separately fenced space is reserved for the smaller dogs. The entrance has a double-gated entrance for secure entries and exits. The ground here is a mixture of grass, dirt, and gray mulch. Mature trees lend some shade to the dog park. A few pieces of agility equipment allow dogs to do some extra training or experience some new ways to exercise. A walk along the nearby duck pond on-leash makes for a good way to settle down for the ride home.

Bellevue Ave

Montclair is located nineteen miles south of Haworth. Brookdale Dog Park is worth the short drive! This pup playground has two fully fenced areas for off-leash exercise and fun. A separate area is set aside for the smaller dogs. The ground in the dog park is a gravel mulch, which resists rain and mud -- a problem too common in many other dog parks. Several pieces of agility grace the dog park and make for extra fun and exercise. Water for dogs and people is conveniently supplied within the dog park. Benches are positioned under the beautiful shade trees. Waste stations are fully stocked with doggie waste bags.

Riverside Avenue East

Lyndhurst is located twenty miles south of Haworth. A furrific dog park to enjoy is located within Riverside County Park. This park along the Passaic River offers a leash-free adventure for your furry pal. A separate enclosure is provided if your furry friend is one of the small ones. The ground in this dog park consists of a gravel mulch which won't dirty those paws too badly no matter how hard your pup plays. A hose can be found at the dog park if your pup needs a rinse before going home. Water faucets and bowls are also supplied by the park. Many shaded benches give the human companions a place to sit while supervising their pup at play.
