North East Arverne is the ideal location for families who want to be close to the center of town but also need to be able to get onto the freeway quickly. For those days when you don’t have to rush off to work, the Dubos Point Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular destination for families with dogs and children who need some space to run and get some fresh air away from the busy city life. Arverne can get to feel crowded sometimes, being so close to other heavily populated towns, so many residents love to escape to places like the wildlife preserves even if it is just for an hour or two.
