Just east of Glenpool, you will find the puptown of Bixby. This is a puptastic place for a day out with your pooch since it is home to the Washington Irving Memorial Park! This 32.5 acre green spot has a sniff-tastic walking trail where you can stretch your's and your canine’s legs, as well as plenty of open green grass for playing fetch or tug of war. There are also lots of memorials here that you can spend some time looking at. If you get hungry, head to the Rib Crib! This is a dog friendly place that serves up delicious ribs with lots of sauces to choose from, as well as pulled pork, chicken, brisket and sausages. There are also three outdoor tables where your beloved companion can join you!

If you are looking for some pawsome dog friendly places to grab a bite to eat, head 6.2 miles north of Glenpool to the puptown of Jenks! Here you can drop into the puptastic Chuv’s Tex-Mex and tuck into some delicious tacos, fajitas, burritos and enchiladas, as well as enjoy a cocktail. Plus, there are dog friendly outdoor tables where your pup can join you. Another furrific spot to visit when your stomach is growling is Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers! There is a tasty menu here featuring hotdogs, sandwiches, burgers, and of course, frozen custard. Your canine is welcome to join you out at one of the outdoor tables.

Just to the north east of Glenpool, you will discover Jenks and all of its dog friendly places! This includes Veterans Park where you can enjoy a run around with your furry friend. For a pawsome adventure with your furry friend, jump in the car and head north of Glenpool to Tulsa! This furrific place is home to the Turkey Mountain Park where your pooch can have a ball. There are over seven miles of sniff-tastic trails here that wind through the woods and around ponds. While you go for a hike or leisurely stroll, you and your canine can enjoy a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and take in the views of the Arkansas River. All pups can be top dog at Turkey Mountain Park, as long as they remain on leash.
