Book now“Your Downtown Dog-walker since 2012!”
I have worked with dogs (& cats) for most of my life. I have worked as a professional dog trainer for over 10 years (2 in a class setting and 8 in private lessons), a dog groomer for several prior to that, & a pet sitter. Before that I was an avid equestrian with a deep interest in animal behavior, both domesticated & in wildlife. People close to me have always told me I have a special knack for working with animals, & I'm really happy to use that to help provide care for your pet family member!

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Sperry
Easton Heights
Easton Heights
This downtown Tulsa neighborhood features the Joe Station Dog Park, a large and well-maintained site with separate big and small dog sections, a canopied area with tables and benches for the humans, and convenient waste receptacles. Run by local volunteers, the park is lighted for nighttime use, which is an unusually pleasant feature for those who work until after dark, especially in the winter. There is clear signage regarding no children or food/treats within the park for safety reasons. With lots of safe green space to run and play, this is an ideal place to take your doggo for exercise and socialization. Woof!
Darlington
Darlington
In the Darlington neighborhood of Tulsa lies dog-friendly Hunter Park, and within the Park is Biscuit Acres Bark Park. Hunter features a playground and basketball courts along with picnic shelters and other activities for the humans, but for the doggo, 2.5-acre Biscuit Acres is the best! It features benches and picnic tables for Fido’s Dad or Mom, and separate sections for large and small fur-pups. Water fountains and a hydrant are provided in both sections, and they are sheltered by large canvas sails. There’s natural shade, too, provided by the trees dotting the park, and volunteers regularly re-stock the waste bag containers while emptying the receptacles. They even provide metal scoops for easy pick-up! Come on down and have a romp!
Mingo
Mingo
The Mingo neighborhood of Tulsa contains pet-friendly, 2,800-acre Mohawk Park, home to the Oxley Nature Center, hiking trails and vast expanses of green open space for running with the dogs or hanging a hammock for a relaxing swing with Fido by your side. The overall park is huge and hosts the Tulsa Zoo, athletic facilities and playgrounds, but the fun part for the doggo is the trails. Covering over 60 miles, most of the trails welcome Fido on leash but some don’t, so be sure to check the signs. The trails run alongside and over creeks, through densely wooded areas, around lakes and over marshes, with surprising views at every turn. This is a dog and dog-lover’s dream! Arf!
Rt 20/ Timberwood
Rt 20/ Timberwood
Skiatook is a town northwest of Sperry, and its Rt 20/ Timberwood neighborhood is home to Skiatook Lake, which boasts about 160 miles of shoreline featuring dramatic bluffs with views of the lake. Formed by a dam on Hominy Creek, the lake is known for sport fishing and several different species of fish can be landed there, but surrounding the lake are prairie and woodlands that contain deer and wild birds along with small mammals for your furry buddy to see and smell. The 1,600 public use acres offer hiking, picnicking and camping, along with access to the river for water sports, plus restrooms. The Overlook is a building made of wood and flagstone that offers exceptional views of the dam, water and oak trees, along with a comfort station. It’s a great place to stop with Fido, relax and enjoy the woofderful outdoors of Oklahoma.
Sand Springs City Center
Sand Springs City Center
Sand Springs is a town approximately 13 miles southwest of Sperry that features the Katy Trail. The trail runs from Sandy Springs to Tulsa, a distance of 8 miles. Surfaced with asphalt, it is suitable for walking with Fido on his leash, biking, inline skating and is wheelchair accessible. This rail-trail passes through urban areas, as well as along suburban tree-lined streets in Sand Springs, and connects with spurs from neighborhoods, parks and shopping districts. There is 9-hour parking near where the trail crosses Main Street, and more parking at River City Park. Conveniently placed water fountains and gentle hills make this a pawrific trail for an outing with your fur-buddy! Try it soon!
