“Vol. firefighter trying to earn $ for my family”

Vol. firefighter. I treat my fur-clients how the parents want them treated. I have always had dogs, learned how to care for them at a young age, & always loved doing so! During college I got diff. jobs, but never enjoyed them. I decided to provide local pet care. I walked, fed, gave medicine, did nail trims; etc. Once back in Tulsa I found new clients & one of them told me about Wag! as a way to find new clients & offer last min. care so that even if they can't make it, their dogs are cared for.

“Think of me as the Other Mother!”

I have a big soft spot for the seniors. and foster senior dogs with medical needs. I love walking the younger, more active dogs too! I'm a transport volunteer. I've helped many dogs by driving transport legs throughout Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. It's very rewarding to help a rescue dog get to their final destination and see them adopted by loving families. On transports, there are strict guidelines about double-leashing and ensuring the safety of the dogs entrusted to you.

“I enjoy finding out what FUN means to them!”

I have a GSD named Willie and a kitty named Kiki we fostered and Willie adopted. Yes he really did. I trained with our SD organization for 6 mo., Willie and I were matched when he was 12 wks, then we trained together with our service dog organization for a year. Trust I learned is everything! I’ll earn the trust of you and your pup, treat them like I would want someone to treat mine, and follow your instructions. Every animal has their own personality. I enjoy finding out what FUN means to them.

I am a semi retired Vietnam era veteran. I love being around animals, sometimes more than humans. I have a six year old Siberian husky, named Shana Punim. She is my constant companion. We go to the dog park several days a week. She enjoys playing with the other dogs there. If I walk your fur baby, he/ she will be treated as if she was my own.

Dog Walking in Sperry

Sperry is a suburb of Tulsa, only 10 miles away, and is a small, quiet bedroom community with most of its working residents commuting to Tulsa daily. It’s also the location of an active retirement community. Bird Creek meanders through Sperry, making lots of outdoor recreation opportunities in this dog-friendly town. Also passing through is the Osage Prairie Trail which links Tulsa with Skiatook to the northwest.

The pup-friendly Osage Prairie Trail can be accessed in several places along its 14.5-mile route, including in downtown Sperry where you can park just off Main St. and walk to the trail entrance. The trail follows the corridor of the no longer used Midland Valley Rail bed, passing through urban as well as rural areas. It is lighted in Sperry for night use. The section in Sperry is rural/suburban. Hiking and biking are the two most popular uses of the trail, but it is also appropriate for skating, horseback riding and wheelchair passage, all of it being surfaced in asphalt. Traveling the trail affords views of the prairie, and grazing cattle and horses, along with Sperry’s picturesque downtown. Sperry conveniently provides water fountains. This is a long and beautiful hike or ride for you and your pawsome fur-pup!

Should your dog become ill or injured while in the Sperry area, be aware that there are at least 5 veterinarians available, including 1 in Sperry, 2 in nearby Tulsa, and 1 in Owasso. They’re ready and able to get your pooch moving and wagging again in no time!

Head on over to small town Sperry for some big puptastic adventure!
