Chevy Chase Heights

The Kennedy - King Park in the Chevy Chase Heights neighborhood of Indiana is a great, simple park for the whole family. Children will love playing on the playground, which features slides, swings, and climbing equipment. Basketball fans will love the fenced in courts (so you never have to chase a ball again!) Dogs will be wagging their tails over the simple trails that allow you to loop this park and get a view of everything going on! By the time you've explored all of Kennedy - King Park's options, you'll be happy to enjoy their last unknown feature: the conveniently placed benches!

Downtown Indiana

Indiana Memorial Park is a gorgeous park for adults in Indiana. This is more a place of reflection than a playground, and the park's paths all converge in front of the war memorial. It offers a history lesson on Indiana's sacrifices since its founding. Downtown Indiana is also known for its dog-friendly dining! The Cony is a fun, American bar food themed restaurant. They have dog-friendly outdoor tables and a variety of foods, featuring fresh ground meats and handmade craft cocktails! Artists Hand Gallery and Espresso Bar is an option when you'd like to drink--coffee! This blast of Indiana culture features local artists and handmade drinks, and also allows your pup to join you outside.

Marsh Run

Marsh Run is a hugely busy neighborhood of Indiana. There's simply so much to do! Start with a trip to Optimist Field. This baseball complex is home to many local leagues and little leagues, but when it's not in use, it's a pupular spot for gathering dogs! Keep your dog on leash, but still come out to meet a new friend! McGregor Park is a family oriented park with a lot going for it. It has a playground and a creek nearby, so there's always something to explore! Dogs will love the open grass for rolling and roaming! White Twp Recreation Complex packs in the fun, with all kinds of sports centers, an ice rink, and more. Take your dog on the extended walking paths for fun!

Water Street

The Fourth Ward Park is a small, quiet park in the Water Street neighborhood of Indiana. It's great for taking your dog into the trees and leaving the rest of the world behind you. While this park doesn't have the amenities of some of Indiana's larger parks, it's perfect for shy dogs. You rarely have to worry about crowds, so your dog is free to explore to their hearts' content! Hungry? Nap's Cucina Mia makes their pasta sauce from scratch, and feature local ingredients whenever possible. Take your dog to their outdoor patio tables and enjoy a true taste of Indiana.

Westgate

The Getty Heights Park has trees for shade, creek access for wading, and a walking path for stretch your legs and/or paws. These are all great features, but one rises above all the others: Getty Heights Park has an interior dog park! This park is small, but it's fully fenced in within the larger park. Your pup can run off leash, and burn off more energy in a small area than they would on an hour long walk with you! Bring some toys to encourage your pup to run their heart out in this park! Most times, however, you won't even need to, as friends will keep them busy.
