Bumpass
Bumpass is a rural community that's spread out among forest and farmland. There are country estates, a few churches, and vacation homes out here. Whether you bring your boat to Pleasants Landing Marina to launch into Lake Anna or go walking in the country with your pooch, you'll have plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors. You can also head to Duke's Creek Marina with a tent or RV and your personal craft and enjoy a weekend by the water. This facility is about ten miles south of here. Supervised pets that are on a cord or leash are welcome to stay with you.36
Lake Anna State Park
Lake Anna State Park is about 17 miles north of Bumpass. This property includes hiking trails, boat access, picnic areas, and camping facilities. For overnight accommodations, you can rent a pet-friendly cabin or bring your RV or tent. Spend the daylight hours on the water or go exploring on over 15 miles of trails. At day's end, relax by the campfire with your canine pal. A majority of the paths here offer easy hikes for you and your fur baby. Pets can join you in most parts of the park. Make sure Spot stays on a leash at all times. Clean up your pup's messes.24
Mineral
Mineral is a small town on the west side of Lake Anna about 11.4 miles northwest of Bumpass. This community has single-family homes, farms, and a downtown area. There are quiet neighborhood blocks here that you and Fido can use for a daily walk. You'll find a small park with tables and open space off Louisa Avenue. Bring your four-footed friend to Walton Park to play frisbee or have an outdoor meal together. In the summer, catch a concert at the bandstand. Dogs must be under control and on a cord or leash. Bring bags so that you can clean up their messes.12
Montpelier
About 12.7 miles south of Bumpass, you'll find the community of Montpelier. There are some small businesses, a lumberyard, and private residences in this rural area. Visit the Montpelier Center for Arts to view the art gallery displays or to shop the farmer's market. For some outdoor recreation with your canine companion, head to Montpelier Park on Sycamore Tavern Lane. You'll find fields, a playground, athletic fields, and walking trails here. Stretch your legs with Fido as you stroll around the property. Remember that your pooch needs to be on a lead and under control while here. Have bags with you to clean up any droppings.Glenora
The Glenora area on Lake Anna is about 14.6 miles from Bumpass. There are lakeside estates and a few marinas in this community. Walk along wooded lots with your pup for exercise. Plan a family vacation by the water at Rocky Branch Marina & Campground off Courthouse Road. You'll find tent sites and RV hookups here. Get out on the lake in your boat with your special pal. This facility is open year-round and welcomes pets. Supervise your furry friend and keep them under control with a cord or leash when they're outside.
