Introduction
Dog Names That Start with 'Wr' in Pop Culture
A couple of years ago, Wrangler went through an evaluation to determine whether or not he would be fit for detection work. He passed and was officially accepted into the Connecticut State detection dog program and is now working on his training to become the best detection dog he can be! Although he will undoubtedly be missed in the guide department, Wrangler truly seems to be better suited for detection missions, and his name is a perfect fit for the gig. Whether he is sniffing out bombs or chasing down the bad guys, there is no doubt that Wrangler will be happy wrangling up those who would do harm to others.
When Wrangler was a seeing-eye dog, he worked with Bill Stevens for a while, who was a professor of music at Santa Clara University. Wrangler's primary duties were to walk back and forth with the professor from his different classes, as well as the pool and faculty meetings. Stevens truly enjoyed Wrangler's company and even played with the idea of having Wrangler up on stage with him while he performed; as he was an avid piano player. This undoubtedly would have been a treat for both Wrangler and all who watched the performance!
Guide dogs and detection dogs are truly wonderful gifts to society. Like Wrangler, there are dogs all over that take these positions and help to comfort and aid those who need it most. Thanks to dogs like Wrangler, people with disabilities are able to live a more normal life, and do so with a wonderful dog by their side! If you love the idea that Wrangler stands for, or if you have a potential guide dog that needs an awesome name, then the moniker, Wrangler, may be perfect to consider for your pup.
Dog Name that Starts with 'Wr' Considerations
Of course, many other breeds can also work well in this category; especially those with characteristics that mimic the meanings. An example of this would be the moniker, Wrinkle or Wrinkly. The Bulldog, Pit Bull, Mastiff, and Pug are all perfect candidates for a name such as this thanks to the wrinkles that they tend to sport. If you don't want to go with looks alone, then these dogs could also sport the name Wriggles or Wriggly, as during puppyhood, they like to wriggle around; so cute!
