Introduction

While board games aren't always for everyone, Jumanji is an example of a board game that shouldn't really be for anyone; unless of course you have a serious life lesson to learn. The book, Jumanji, was written in 1981 by Chris Van Allsburg and features the tale of a board game with a mind of it's own. Jungle themed and full of danger, the game Jumanji brings a young pair of children, Peter and Judy, into an experience they would never forget. Wild jungle animals appear in real life and rampage their home and great floods almost wash them away! With this much excitement and adventure, it comes as no surprise that later on in 1995, the book was turned into a movie. A sequel by the name of Zathura (which took place in space) later followed and most recently, the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was released (2018). In each new branch of the Jumanji game variations, people are brought closer together and valuable lessons are learned. Such as, friendships and family are some of the most important things that life has to offer, and teamwork can get you through most anything.

Jumanji Inspired Dog Name Considerations

When considering a name for your dog, you may decide on a Jumanji themed name if you have a breed that is constantly causing some kind of chaos or mysterious destruction. The game Jumanji is all about getting through the game without any real-life casualties, and for all those who have taken on a new puppy, it is common knowledge that puppy-hood can feel this way as well! Because of that one little fact, it is easy to say that a Jumanji themed name works perfectly for anyone who enjoys the book or movie and needs a name that matches the whirlwind that owning a dog can bring.

A couple of breeds that may fit this theme extremely well could be the South African Mastiff and the Basenji. Both of these breeds originate in Africa and since Jumanji is set in a safari-type land, a name that reflects that would be perfect! You don't have to have a specific breed to rock a Jumanji name, however. Due to the fact that there are quite a few common names used throughout the story line (such as 'Danny', 'Peter', and 'Sarah') any breed, personality, or coloring can fit the bill when it comes to these jungle board game monikers.
