Dog Areas in Mount Tabor

2 Parks

Less than an hour from New York City, Mount Tabor, New Jersey is a pooch-friendly town that was originally used for camp meeting services. There are no veterinarians in Mount Tabor, so if your pup needs to see a vet, head to Morris Plains or Denville for his medical care.

Trinity Park is located in the center of town and is still used for religious services, although it is also a popular destination to walk Fido. There is a large open space where your pup can run and play, and plenty of shade trees where you can lounge and enjoy a cool breeze. If you are spending the day outside with the kids, they will love the small playground perfect for toddlers. The gazebo is also a good place to get out of the sun and give Fido a drink of water.

Walking your pup through the Mount Tabor area gives you a chance to admire the architecture of the Victorian homes with gingerbread paint and interesting history. The community was established in 1869 and all of the homes are historic. You can chat with neighbors sitting out on their porches while the pups socialize and roll in the grass.

If you are searching for a pooch-friendly community with a lot of history, Mount Tabor has a lot to offer.
