Party in the Park is an annual fundraiser for the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County. Music, Vendors, Food, Fun, & Contests that will put a smile on all 2-footed attendees. Leashed dogs are invited to bring their friends! Mom & Pop Pet Shop sells healthy, natural foods for dogs and cats. If Fido’s been a good boy, reward him with a baked treat from Mom & Pop Pet Shop!

Charlotte Park

This Punta Gorda community is very family-friendly and provides locals and visitors access to dining, shopping and entertainment establishments that accommodate dogs. If you and Fido are looking to get some grub, look no further than Nino’s Italian Bakery. They serve breakfast all day as well as your favorite baked goods. You can also get the standard lunch fare, like burgers and sandwiches, on freshly baked bread. Keep in mind that there are only two pet-friendly outdoor tables, so you’ll want to call ahead to make a reservation. Be sure to visit on a Friday night and howl your lungs out with karaoke!

Charlotte Harbor

This scenic neighborhood is located directly overlooking the Peace River, near Tamiami Trail. This town also loves pups! Edgewater Dog Park gives your dog the opportunity to run, play and socialize off-leash. Amenities at this park include a separate small dog area, water hoses, water bowls and waste bags. Restrooms and a playground are also located nearby. Wanting to chow down with your hound? Pioneer Pizza, Morgan’s Café, and Cozie Café allow pooches to accompany owners while they dine.
