As the 12th largest community in Oregon, the city of Tigard is both family and Fido friendly. Visitors often travel to the area during the Portland Rose Festival every summer and enjoy the Tigard Festival of Balloons that’s held at Cook Park.  With a population of over 50,000 people, it’s not surprising to find three dog parks catering to canine’s and their human parents.

Four veterinary clinics located in Tigard will be there when you need them to keep your pup up to date on shots or help and heal if she gets sick or injured. Two locally owned pet stores, Mud Bay and The Filling Station, offer a variety of food and treats in addition to fun toys to spoil your precious pooch.

Don’t worry about leaving Fido at home when exploring Tigard. Three hotels in the area are pup friendly and offer spaces to walk your pooch and dog waste stations with free doggie bags. Check out the Quality Inn Tigard, Extended stay America Portland Tigard, and the Motel 6 Portland South Tigard. Dining out in the city is even more pawtastic at Max’s Fanno Creek Brew Pub. The large patio with umbrella covered tables are perfect for meeting up with friends and their pub loving pups.
